Carolyn Bailey, Principal and CEO, The Cambridge High School — Abu Dhabi (CHS) beat out nine other finalists to receive the Outstanding Contribution to Education Award at the GESS Education Awards on 27 February.
In its sixth year, the GESS awards highlight and reward the quality and diversity of educational products, resources, services and people as well as the best educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession. Carolyn was commended not only for her strong leadership, passion, positivity and mindfulness but also for leading by example and building purposeful relationships with students, teachers, parents and the local community.
On winning the award, Carolyn said: “I was overwhelmed to win the award. My success is only a reflection of the hard work my staff put in day in, day out. It is their daily triumphs in their classrooms that allow me to shine. So, it was on behalf of everyone at CHS that I proudly accepted the award.”
